Mithrandir + Zoom
Connecting Zoom gives every AI agent your company uses what was said in its recorded meetings. Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot and Cursor answer with the transcript line and the speaker. A transcript is seen by the people who were in the meeting and the people Zoom already lets open that recording.
What it reads
What Mithrandir reads from Zoom
- Transcripts of cloud recordings, for every active user of your account
- Who spoke, and when
- The meeting each transcript belongs to, joined to its calendar event
Access
The access rules that carry over
- The host, and everyone in the meeting: invitees, alternative hosts and the people who joined.
- People whose Zoom role lets them view recordings for the whole account.
- A recording shared inside the account reaches its active users. A public link adds nobody.
- Video, audio, chat and polls are never read.
Setup
Set up in three steps
- 1
A Zoom account admin creates one read-only app for the company.
- 2
Transcripts of your cloud recordings come in, and new ones follow as meetings end.
- 3
People ask from the agent they already use and get answers from the meetings they can open.
Examples
What your agents can now answer
- “What did the customer say about their budget on Thursday's call?”
- “Which risks did engineering raise in the design review?”
- “What did we agree as next steps in the board prep meeting?”
Questions
Zoom and Mithrandir, answered
- Does Mithrandir store video or audio?
- No. Only the transcript is read. Video, audio, chat, polls and summaries are not.
- Who sees a transcript?
- The people who were in the meeting, and the people Zoom already lets open that recording. Nobody else.
- Do meetings need to be recorded?
- Yes. Mithrandir reads the transcript of a cloud recording, so a meeting that was not recorded to the cloud has none.
